Ayuuri Turmeric & Bergamot Facewash

In December's Glossybox I received the Ayuuri Turmeric and Bergamot facewash which I was chuffed about and couldn't wait to try out due to being such a big skincare enthusiast.
Ayuuri isn't a brand which I'm familiar with but with their reasonable price tag and the great results of the product I'll be looking more into trying out some of their other products. This full sized 200ml face wash retails at £4.95.
The facewash has a really strong zesty, zingy scent to it. So whenever I'm feeling like I can't wake up in the mornings this is my go to product as it really gets my senses going and wakes me up, it's very refreshing.
It's the Turmeric that removes the dirt and unclogs the pores which I have to say it does do. I always find my skin to have a really clear, clean and unblemished look about it after I've used this product. Although I don't have really bad skin, it's not perfect either and one thing I hate is my rosy and blemished patches of skin. Although you will always catch me applying plenty of blusher, for some reason, there is nothing I hate worse than my own red cheeks, and this product is prefect for soothing and toning that down.
I've been using this product almost each day now alongside my Liz Earle and I have to say I am really impressed. It gives me more confidence in my own skin and I will now have days around the house where I won't wear any make up, which is so rare for me due to how unconfident I am. I will also have days where I wear a lot less make up when I'm out and about. So if you have similar skin care issues to me then I would definitely recommend you try this product. It's not exactly going to break the bank and if it gives you the results which you want, it's definitely worth it.
You can find this face wash at www.ayuuri.co.uk

January's Glossy Box.

I've recently subscribed to the Glossy Box after cancelling my subscription with She Said Beauty Box, and I am so much more impressed with Glossy Box. This month the theme was Detox from Christmas and New Year, and the products were perfect for it.
The detox theme is perfect for this month. I have Christmas, New Year and my Birthday all within about a week of each event, just one after the other, and it's about now where I just want a good old pamper. To get my routine back and give me some 'me' time, because let's admit, there really is nothing better for girls!
1. Duck Island Body Lotion -  This body lotion has an amazing Orange/Mandarin smell to it. It's really refreshing and would be great for waking you up first thing in the morning. This would also make an excellent body lotion for summer mornings too, as long as it doesn't attract the wasps. I also love that a little goes a long way! Unfortunately when I went on the Duck Island website to check the price I found you can only buy in bulk, and if it's a small order it's incredibly expensive. So unless I can find it cheaper and singularly I won't be repurchasing.
2. Jason Lip Balm - First things first... This lip balm smells of After Eights. I'm not even exaggerating, you ask anyone, even my boyfriend! The lip balm retails at £1.99 which is a reasonable enough price for a lip balm. I've found that with the few times I have used this product my lips have stayed very moisturised, this is probably because it's made using Bee's wax, Aloe Vera and Shea Butter.
3. Paul Mitchell Super Strong Daily Shampoo - I can't wait to use this Shampoo as it's meant to be for daily use and due to a condition I have I need to wash my hair daily and sometimes with medicated Shampoo. I have yet to find a daily shampoo which is really good enough. For now I'm using trusty Herbal Essences but within around 16 hours my hair starts to look and feel greasy. So I can't wait to see how this one goes! 300ml of Shampoo retails at £11.50, which is fairly pricey for Shampoo.
4. Elemis Fresh Skin, Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash - I've always heard good things about Elemis so I can't wait to try this product and review it. For 100ml of product it retails at £12.00 which for a product and brand which is supposed to be good, I don't think it's an unreasonable price. This exfoliator also smells great so is intended to be a daily scrub, and with a refreshing smell like this each morning I know it'll perk me up. However, I'm not sure that I will use it daily on my sometimes sensitive skin. So keep your eyes peeled to find out how I get on.
5. MONU Aromatic Mask - I've recently become really into face masks so this is another product which I can't wait to test out and review. For 100ml of product it retails at £24.95 which I think is a bit pricey and I could find something cheaper on my budget. The mask aims to increase vitamin and mineral absorption which is great if it's going to give my skin a glow. It also contains Beeswax and Coconut oil to soften and hydrate the skin. So all in all it sounds very promising!

This is a great detox kit and I can't wait to properly try out some of the products. What did you think of January's Glossybox?

Lady Gaga - Black Fluid

Now usually, when celebrity perfumes come out I'm not one to be first in line to purchase one, and quite frankly I find the majority - not all, but the majority to be really over powering, sickly and come in tacky packaging. That's just my personal opinion, others may love them. When the Lady Gaga perfume was released I though it would be another, just the same, and it wasn't until I was standing in the cue in Superdrug when my friend smelt it and shoved it in front of my nose did my opinion of celebrity perfumes start to change slightly. It was definitely not what I was expecting, and I thoroughly enjoyed the scent, even my boyfriend loves it on me. So with some Christmas money I brought a gift set which was in the sales.
True to Lady Gaga's style the perfume and Shower Gel is still weird and wacky, especially with them both being black, but don't worry, the perfume does dry clear! I love how she hasn't conformed and gone with the pink and girly look which most perfumes seem to have. Not that I'm complaining!!
The perfume has a very light musty smell to it with just that hint of floral, and it actually reminds me of something similar I just can't put my finger on what perfume it is called.

I have to say, that I actually love the black shower gel! It was really weird at first but I love how different it is, and smells exactly the same as the perfume.
30ml definitely isn't enough which means that I will be purchasing more in the future!
A 30ml perfume can be brought at Superdrug for £19.19 which is very reasonable. They also do 50ml and 100ml bottles too. You can also buy the Shower Gel for £13.99. As well as the Shower Gel there is also a Body Lotion and bar of soap in the range.

Have you tried Black Fluid yet?

Happy Birthday To Me!

I've been a little quiet over the last week and that's because last week on Thursday was my birthday! I can't believe it had been a year since my exciting 18th birthday and I am now 19, which to some of you probably still seems like a baby, but it makes me feel old. I want to be 18 forever! I was so incredibly spoilt for my birthday and I'm only going to show you a selection of my favourite presents from my family, friends and wonderful boyfriend. As things like money, vouchers, knickers and socks aren't really exciting to photograph!
These are some of the lovely gifts which I received. I also received some lovely clothing too but haven't included them in the photo because they're in the wash from wearing them at the weekend.
My Mum brought me the Ted Baker wash bag to match my make-up bag which I had been trying to get my hands on for ages and eventually did, you can read my blog post about it here. So I'm ecstatic that I now have the matching set! This was perfect for my weekend away. My Granny also a lovely large 150ml Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish. I absolutely love this stuff, it has to be my most favourite cleanser and now I'm stocked up, especially as I got some for Christmas too! The fairy lights are to replace my old ones which broke, I'm in love with them and have already placed them around my headboard of my bed. My bedroom looks so cute and girly at night with these lights, it's definitely my safe haven, and place I go to relax.
I am mad on baking, and when I was out shopping with my Stepmum I pointed this book out to her and said how much I loved it and would one day like to buy it. She remembered our conversation and went and brought it for me! Yay! There will definitely be more foodie posts coming soon as I work my way through the cook book. I'm drooling even thinking about it!
I love, love, love, love this gift from my Auntie, Uncle and Cousins! Recently I have become a major Vampire Diaries fan and have even gotten my boyfriend, Tyler into it as well. This is season 1-3 and we're currently half way through watching season 1 on Netflix, so I can cancel my subscription now I have the box set and save money! Are any of you Vampire Diaries fans, girls?!
Again, my Dad and Stepmum did so well with these beautiful shoes which I have been lusting over for months, I now own them in cream and purple!! Miss Selfridge are great for shoes if any of you girls are looking for ideas.
This really had to be the best birthday present of all!! My boyfriend was amazing enough to take me to Paris on the weekend of my birthday! I couldn't believe it when he told me, I was in so much shock and so, so incredibly excited! We have both been wanting to go to Paris for quite a while and were planning on organising a trip for March but I couldn't believe it when he surprised me with a trip for my birthday. I really am the luckiest girl alive. I had such an amazing time this weekend and I really can't thank him enough! I'm going to do a short post of a few holiday snaps of Paris soon!
As well as taking me to Paris for the weekend during the day on my birthday a delivery van pulled up and delivered me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I have ever received from my boyfriend, that man is full of surprises!
It really has been a great 19th birthday and I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family, boyfriend and friends. There really aren't enough words to tell you all how grateful I am, and how right now life is just perfectly amazing. 2013 has kicked off with a bang!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

The Lush Christmas Candy Box.

Without fail, my Brother will buy me some goodies from Lush for Christmas, this is usually one of their gift sets because A. I love all the products they contain and B. He then doesn't have to wrap it! This year he brought me The Lush Christmas Candy Box.
Inside the box contains some of my most favourite products such as Snow Fairy! Christmas isn't Christmas without plenty of helpings of Snow Fairy in the shower! There was also a lip scrub in the box. I already have the bubblegum lip scrub and love it. This scrub smells so yummy and just like toffee!

I haven't tried the other three products yet, but I can't wait to, and I'll blog about some of them when I do. The white Butterball Bath Ballistic has a gorgeous vanilla smell to it, and I'm also mad on Vanilla with my bedroom completely kitted out with Vanilla scented candles! Next is the Candy Mountain Bubble Bar and I can't wait to see it work and have my bath filled with lots of bubbles, perfect for relaxation! Finally is the Rockstar Soap. Again, it has an amazing bubblegum smell to it. I love anything with an amazing scent, and I can't wait to replace my existing soap with this one!

I'm a bit of a Lush virgin, and don't tend to buy many products myself, but I'm going to start buying some.
What would you recommend?

Andrew Barton - I Love Volume Hair Care.

For Christmas my boyfriend's Mum very kindly brought me the Andrew Barton, I Love Volume hair care kit. In 2012 I put down the hair straighteners and embraced my curls! I hardly ever straighten my hair anymore and if I do everyone seems so shocked, I am just known for my curls, as I'm lucky enough to have those perfect beach wave curls as if I've just stepped out of the sea with my surf board (I wish!) So this present was just perfect for me, and I've been using it ever since.
In the kit you receive Body Building Shampoo and Super Lightweight Conditioner. These smell amazing! If you love the light Lavender fragrance like me, then you'll love these too! The Body Building Shampoo thickens your hair, so this is perfect for people with fine hair. Then the Super Lightweight condition will relieve some of the thickness, but not all and will condition your (my bleached) ends, leaving them so soft! I am a big lover of soft hair!
Also in the kit you receive Big Hair Lifting Hairspray and Texture Styling Paste, which have a Coconut-y smell to them. These are perfect for adding any volume by using the Hairspray as it's more a spritz and then creating  the perfect curls and making sure they hold by using the Styling Paste. In the mornings after my shower and once I'm getting ready I'll towel dry my hair. Tip my head upside down and spray the Hairspray into my roots and then scrunch the Styling Paste into the ends of my hair and go. I don't even bother to dry my hair as it drys quickly naturally. The curls don't drop out and I have all day long lasting volume.

You can buy Andrew Barton products exclusively at ASDA stores and there are other ranges of Hair Care such as Strictly For Brunettes, The Straight Answer, The Frizz Tamer, Gloss Boss, Colour Protect and The Ultimate Blonde, which I'm definitely going to purchase!
